I tried many different software that were recommended by my friends for diagramming but Visual Paradigm is by far the best tool, especially if you are looking to draw UML diagrams. The thing about UML diagrams is that it has a standard notation, and this is something that the other software misses on. Visual Paradigm follows standards ensuring that your diagrams look professional and are following the UML standards. Other software just have so many varieties that the diagrams end up looking informal and like you drew it using some design tool instead of a diagramming tool. If you need to draw diagrams that are up to standard, I highly suggest you use Visual Paradigm. And it also has a web version now so you don't need the desktop application and I personally prefer this over the application. > > **Inconvénients**: One thing that put me off a bit about Visual Paradigm is that its user interface is not exactly modern and sleek. It looks outdated but this is purely personal preference. Other than that, it doesn't open up really fast but this too is dependent on your machine.
