When we started using Xero a number of years ago the fact that I didn't have to store loads of receipts and spend my Sunday evening adding them to a spreadsheet was a godsend. It's frustrated me ever since that I couldn't let my staff use the app to take photos of their receipts and automatically enter them into Xero. Now I can\! It literally saves me 4 -5 hours of horribly tedious work inputting receipts every week. > > **Inconvénients**: The mobile app should have more features for admin control - it's frustrating that I have to use the online dashboard to add funds to an employees card. > > I can give my staff their own company cards to make petty purchases like software or staff drinks. It's possible to set various types of limit on their card (I've not used this feature though) as I only put a small amount on each card at a time. The main benefit of this is that where I used to get weekly printed out expense forms with receipts stapled to them that I'd have to go through, photograph and reconcile in Xero, now my employees simply have to remember to take photos of their receipts and I can upload directly into Xero. It offers simple and easy card management. You can block cards easily, I find this quicker and simpler than using a high street bank, and can use it on a desktop or mobile phone app. Soldo is easy to use and does not require a steep learning curve. Soldo offers a good level of security with 2-step authentication, along with blocking cards or payments with any non-normal or suspicious activity. You can top up cards easily, and create both company and individual cards giving various levels of access. Receipts can be easily uploaded via the app for reconciliation integrated with Xero. > > **Inconvénients**: I found that occasionally Soldo cards are not accepted by all retailers. Still, if you inform Soldo they do aim to try and rectify this and reduce any suppliers who do not accept Soldo cards, this is the limitation of pre-paid cards, but by having a pre-paid card it offers more control. As a charity we can not have bank credit card so this offers an alternative solution. > > My overall experience with Soldo is positive. It is quick and simple to set up both physical and virtual cards, and offers fairly good value for money. The report that our accountant uses produces a PDF where you cannot read the invoices that we attached to the transactions in good quality. Soldo told me that we have to upgrade all(\!) users to the Premium plan. But we do not need the features of this plan. We just need a simple report where you can actually read the invoices. Furthermore, Soldo changed their pricing structure. Previously we paid per card, but now we need to pay per user. This means that we pay for users, who do not need a card (accountants for example).
