It can be customised using Palo Alto firewalls to granularly add user groups that can use the client(integrating with AD per example), offers split tunnel to manage traffic that goes trough gateway or not. Includes multi-factor authentication, compliance check for devices connecting, and selection of multiple gateways. > > **Inconvénients**: It can be difficult to manage the include/exclude domain due to granularity of apps you would like to place. It often uses high resources and occasional connection stability problems. Additionally, I have noticed a negative impact on network speed and have experienced some challenges while using bandwith heavy applications, like MS Outlook causing it to open and work slowly and crash. Palo Alto support lacks professionals and rapid responses. > > My overall experience has been positive. As an administrator of Global protect I have much usage and granularity while using it. I can set compliance, hip checks, AD groups that can access the portal and add multiple gateways. There are very useful logs that you can gather while troubleshooting issues. I dislike that many features need additional expensive licenses such as IpV6 support, split tunneling by app and hip checks.
