The best Talent Management software around
With an organisation of our size, we needed to source a platform that would be simple and intuitive for our managers to use across multi-sites and require limited support. Talent Successor is a great product, which has allowed us the flexibility to configure to suit our language and approach to Talent Management.
We especially valued that we were able to effectively buy an 'off the shelf' solution, and build enhancements that worked best for us. This was through close consultation and support from Ian & the team at Head Light, who ensured that we were considering industry trends and giving our end-users the best navigation experience we could.
Having only launched last week, Talent Successor is already supporting our functional leads to have good quality Talent conversations, which are now based in fact and real-time, up to date information. Early feedback from the business is extremely positive on its modern, fresh look and feel. Once you are set up and become familiar with the site, it is extremely easy to use.
The customer support is not available at the weekends, but nonetheless, any queries raised are answered swiftly and effectively, as per their SLA. The selection of analytics available was a big attraction for us - the software will help us to effectively foresee and overcome any business risks associated with succession plans and measure the success rates of our pipeline. This depth of data analytics is what the Exec board will value as was particularly lacking through our previous approach of Excel and PowerPoint org charts!
Not only will the software deliver time efficiencies for the central Talent team, it helps to put Talent decisions in the heart of the business, and support our approach to every-day Talent management.
Two areas that we are still yet to explore further:
1. Talent Advance which links development activities to successors plans
2. Matching our competency framework to the structure on Talent Successor - this is mainly because we have moved away from rating competencies and still yet to decide internally how we can best map to job fit for next target position.
Overall, we are very pleased that we selected Talent Successor as our software of choice; the agility and cost efficiency far outweighed any benefits associated with a larger provider. Highly recommended.
