Strong security and encryption privacy-focused approach. Desktop application was generally easier to use than the web interface. > > **Inconvénients**: The platform was consistently unreliable. It would frequently just sit there spinning, and simple tasks like creating a folder often wouldn't work. I could usually accomplish those same tasks on my desktop, but that defeats the purpose. I was paying for a cloud service because I needed it to work across my devices without constant issues. To make matters worse, once I notified Sync.com about these issues, it took months before they even attempted to investigate them. Throughout that time, they were never able to give me a clear explanation for why the platform was performing so poorly or what was causing the problems. I spent months dealing with an unreliable service while waiting for answers that never came. What really frustrated me was when I needed help recovering documents. One of the reasons I chose a paid service was because I expected reliable support if something went wrong. Instead of actually helping, support simply emailed me instructions and expected me to do the recovery myself. Could I eventually figure it out? Yes. But that's exactly why I was paying for the service—to save time and have knowledgeable support when I needed it. I'm busy, and I expected a premium service to provide premium support, not links to documentation and instructions to do it all myself. Between the unreliable platform, the months-long delay in addressing reported issues, the inability to explain or resolve the problems, and the lack of meaningful customer support, I can't recommend Sync.com. I eventually moved my files elsewhere and wish I had done it much sooner. If you're paying for a premium cloud storage service, you should expect it to work reliably and receive timely, effective support when it doesn't. Unfortunately, that wasn't my experience. > > Took way more time than I had trying to fix the issues. Web interface was extremely slow and frequently froze. Basic tasks like creating folders often failed. Customer support took months to investigate reported issues. Support could not explain or resolve the underlying problem. Recovery assistance consisted mainly of sending instructions instead of providing hands-on help. When I update a file on my machine, Sync updates on the other two designers' machines. BUT changes in Adobe Creative Suite (according to Sync support) made it so that our files would not keep links to images and files, making sharing our files very cumbersome, to the point we are leaving Sync once we find an alternative. Getting support is not easy. If your problem is a canned issue, their knowledge base is good, but if your problem is different, getting support is not easy. > > When things were running good (the early days, several years ago) we were very please and would recommend it to anyone. The last few years we've tried to get suppport because of the Adobe Creative Suite issue (not yet diagnosed as to why we were having problems), and Sync support was not helpful when I could get any support.
