> **Avantages**: Optima does a great job of maintaining records with patients over treatment histories so that much can be prepopulated and the ICD code entries can be minimized with evaluations. The software allows pull down screens and check boxes to ease some of the amount of typing. There are several reports that are very simply generated and the parameters can be adjusted for therapists to maintain their caseloads while overseeing large numbers of assistants. It is flexible enough to allow spaces for typing in specifics about the patient to assist with clarification of any concerns or unique needs. Billing is super simple with this software.

> **Inconvénients**: It is easy for many people to become dependent on the drop downs or check boxes and not clarify the sessions when documenting daily notes. It also makes billing easy to track, though it is difficult to determine which charges belong to each treating clinician when co-treating.

> having used several competitors' programs, Optima is by far the best and most consistent for ease of training new employees and assisting therapists with keeping up with the various parts of their job.
