> **Avantages**: Progeny is equipped to handle all basic pedigrees. It's pretty fast to work with and can even handle some more tricky cases like twins, indicating divorce, and miscarriages. It generally produces clean, readable pedigrees.
> 
> **Inconvénients**: Some of the more complex features are not intuitive. It's hard to use features like indicating consanguinity and adding all the appropriate family members with these complex relationships. There is also no way to make small changes that involve moving family members around, for example, if you realize a relative is actually maternal rather than paternal, this work would have to be re-done.
> 
> It stores a huge number of pedigrees and it is easy for our administrative stuff, who have no formal training in genetics, to pick up and use correctly.

Additionally, it has made my clinic note writing so much easier with the built in templates. I also love how it is connected with Ambry so that I can easily link orders.

> **Inconvénients**: This software does not have everything. It doesn't let us enter everything as we would like it to and it is a bit of a pain to go through tech support.
